Effects, shaders & filters
Mixture’s effects run on the GPU — preset filters, generative shader backgrounds, masks — and an agent can go one step further than the presets: when the look you describe doesn’t exist, it writes the shader.
Ask for
Section titled “Ask for”Give the hero section a slow aurora background in our brand colors.
Add a subtle VHS look to the b-roll — less is more.
I want the text to look like it’s refracting the video behind it, like frosted glass.
What agents know how to do
Section titled “What agents know how to do”- The preset library — timed filters (halftone, chromatic aberration, motion blur, fluted glass, LUTs and more) applied to exactly the layers and time ranges that need them, and generative shader backgrounds tuned to your palette.
- Custom WGSL, written to order. A look that no preset covers becomes a bespoke shader or post-process filter. Declared parameters get an auto-generated settings panel, so the one-off effect is tunable by you afterwards like any built-in.
- Effects that know their shape — filters can read the layer’s mask geometry and the scene behind it, which is what makes glass, refraction, and edge-aware treatments possible.
- Masking — text and shapes as alpha masks over media, for type filled with video or windowed reveals.
You stay in control
Section titled “You stay in control”Every effect sits in the layer’s filter stack with its parameters exposed — drag the intensity down, retime it, or delete it like anything else. Custom shaders live in your asset library with their settings panels attached.
