Formats, scenes & versions

A Mixture project has two structural axes, and agents work both: scenes sequence a video in time, and compositions hold parallel versions — different formats, lengths, or audiences — side by side in one project.

Now make a social version for TikTok — 9:16, tighter pacing, captions bigger.

Split this into three scenes — hook, demo, close — with a quick wipe between them.

Give me a 15-second cutdown of the master next to the full version.

  • Structure in time. Multi-scene builds with intentional pacing — a hook, chapters, an end card — including when not to add a scene (one scene with timed layers is often the better structure), and transitions sized to the moment.
  • Parallel formats as compositions. “Make a TikTok version” doesn’t crop your master — the agent creates a second composition at 9:16 and re-designs into it: layouts restacked for vertical, type scaled for a phone held close, pacing tightened for the feed. The master stays untouched.
  • Side by side on the canvas. New compositions appear next to the original on the same canvas — review the 16:9 and the TikTok cut together, and pan between them as they’re built.
  • Versions that track the story. Cutdowns (30s → 15s), localized variants, A/B alternatives — each is just another composition sharing the project’s assets, so a swapped logo or corrected caption can be applied across all of them on request.

Every composition is fully editable — click into the TikTok version and adjust it like any other comp, and export whichever one you’re focused on. Scenes and their transitions live on the timeline exactly as if you’d built them by hand.
